John Cardiel is a professional skateboarder who has appeared in multiple skateboarding video games.

He first appeared in Shaba Games' Grind Session (Game) in 2000 and has since appeared in both Skate2 and Skate 3 (Game). Once considered one of the best skaters in the world, but after a tragic accident in 2004 where his back was run over with a trailer, he was left unable to walk. After five months in the hospital and a few months in a wheel chair, he regained the use of his legs. While he is still unable to skate, his legacy allows him to still be considered a professional skateboarder to this day.
