Eek's first appearance was in the 2009 Halloween event also known as the Web Of Shadows. In it, the Spider Queen sends her with the player to place webs in the Grim Reaper's house because the god Guthix claims the house must be scary during Halloween. After this, Eek asks the Spider Queen if she can travel with the player.

Those who have finished the 2009 Halloween Event can do several things with Eek, which other players can see.
