A Shenmue II character who is a part of Ren's gang. Originally named Cool J, but changed to 'Z' in Europe/US to avoid similarity to the rapper Cool J.

Cool Z is one of Ren's enforcers in The Heavens, the gang that resides in Beverly Hills Wharf, Aberdeen. He is distinctive in that he sports a mohawk and shades and always carries a boom box playing rap music. Despite his large figure, he is a coward and of little use in a fight. He is called Cool J in the Japanese version of the game, but was renamed Cool Z in the European and US versions to avoid legal troubles of having a name too similar to the rapper, LL Cool J. He was voiced by Robert Belgrade (Person) in the Eglish version of the game.
