Carpainter is the leader of the Happy Happy cult, and it's village. He demands that everything is painted blue, and uses the Mani Mani Statue to control his cultists, while the statue itself is controlling him. He has mysterious lightning powers that can warp people outside of the cult's building. While in prison, Paula (Character) gives Ness (Character) the Franklin Badge to deflect his lightning. This works as planned, and Carpainter finally regains his sanity, and ends the Happy Happy cult.
