Carlos Boozer is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Boozer was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany at a military base. He grew up in Juneau, Alaska, and went to college at Duke University where he played for three seasons. Duke won the 2001 NCAA Championship. He was the 6th pick of the 2nd round of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. His first season he averaged 10.0 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. His second season with the Cavs he averaged 15.5 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game. On July 30, 2004 Boozer signed with the Utah Jazz as a free agent. With the Jazz Boozer has averaged at least 16.0 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. He won a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games and a gold medal in 2008's Summer Olympic Games. On July 8, 2010, Boozer was acquired by the Chicago Bulls. He played with the Bulls for four years before being released on July 15, 2014 via the amnesty clause. Two days later Boozer was claimed off amnesty waivers by the Los Angeles Lakers. So far in his career Boozer is a 2-time All-Star, and has averaged 16.6 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game.
