Captain Panaka is the head of Padme Amidala's security forces in Star Wars Episode 1: the Phantom Menace.

In the game adaptation of George Lucas (Person)' prequel, Panaka is a playable character in the Coruscant (Location) level. His task is to protect Padme Amidala (Character) and escort her to the Galactic Senate. Although he carries a T-65 Heavy Blaster, which fires two projectiles that rebound off walls, and sporting a deft roundhouse kick, his lack of lightsaber skills put him at a serious disadvantage in Coruscant's seedy lower levels. Panaka also appears in Battle for Naboo, where he provides briefings at the outset of each mission.
