In the .hack//INFECTION subsection of the .hack series,  Aura is initially seen very early in the game, being chased by the first phase, Skeith. It is after this encounter that she notices Kite and Orca, and, since first choice Orca gets data drained and put into a coma, she entrusts Kite with the Epitaph of Twilight.    She is also the creator of the Azure knights: Azure Kite, Azure Balmung, and Azure Orca in the .Hack//G.U. series.
