He learned about humanity's frailness and redesigned it based on human history yet failed again. He seeked counseling with the Oracle, a Program that is aware of the human psyche. She came up with the concept of the One and that every one hundred years, an incarnation of the One would restart the Matrix at the Source and prevent the extinction of humanity. The first five incarnations of the One restarted the Matrix. Neo, the sixth One bypassed the Architect's instructions.
