Andre is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Washington Wizards of the NBA.

Born in Los Angeles, Andre Miller played at the University of Utah and led the team to the championship game in 1998, but they lost to the University of Kentucky. Miller finished his Bachelor's of Science in Sociology and was picked 8th overall in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. While with the Cavs he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and increased his points per game and assists per game each year. On July 30, 2002 he was traded with Bryant Stith to the Los Angeles Clippers for Harold Jamison and Darius Miles. His only year with the Clippers he averaged 13.6 points per game and 6.7 assists per game. He signed as a free agent with the Denver Nuggets on August 1, 2003. He was with the Nuggets for over three seasons and did not average below 13.0 points per game or 6.0 assists per game in those years. On December 19, 2006 he was traded by the Nuggets with Joe Smith and two 2007 1st Round Draft Picks (Daequan Cook and Petteri Koponen) to the Philadelphia 76ers for Allen Iverson and Ivan McFarlin. In the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons Miller averaged 17.0 and 16.3 points per game respectively. On July 24, 2009 Miller signed a three-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

On June 23, 2011, Miller was traded to the Denver Nuggets. On July 11, 2012 , he re-signed with the Nuggets for a three-year deal. However, on February 20, 2013, Miller was traded to the Washington Wizard where he still plays.

Over his career he has averaged 13.1 points per game and 6.9 assists per game in 14 seasons. He is notable for only having missed three games in his entire career to injuries, and is currently ranked ninth all-time in career assists in the NBA.
