Alexei is the 4th "Boss" character in Ninja Gaiden 2 and NInja Gaiden Sigma 2. Ryu Hayabusa (Character) finds New York City overrun with fiend's controlled by Alexei who has fortified himself in the Statue of LIberty. Once Ryu acends the statue he has a 1 on 1 encounter with Alexei himself. If the player is playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 instead of being defeated Alexei will enthrall the Statue of Liberty itself and attack Ryu.After being foiled in New York City Alexei appears once more later in the game after he has kidnapped Sonia. The fiend dangles the woman in front of Ryu setting him off on a quest to free her from his clutches and defeat the fiend once and for all.
