Overview

In Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, the actions of the man named Hikawaenact the events of the Conception, which destroys the world and causes what remains of Tokyo to form an insulated sphere. Inside of this sphere is the Vortex World, a place that exists in the greater Amala consciousness and for the purpose of granting the creator with the strongest Reason the abilty to form a new world as he or she sees fit.

High above in the middle of the Vortex World is Kagutsuchi (Character), who illuminates the Vortex World and awaits those with Reasons.
