I don't have a favourite in particular, but ones I especially miss are the oldschool adventure game (thank you, Telltale, for keeping it alive) and the space simulation games about technology that doesn't even exist.  That's just how rich the Star Wars and BattleTech universes are.  TIE Fighter and MechWarrior 2 are some of my favourite games of all time, ones I miss dearly.  I grew up playing them without a joystick.  It's the reason I game with my mouse Y-flipped.
