(Gaming Days x 30)^1337: Day 18 - Favorite protagonist

I really feel like answering Kyle Katarn because of how much Dark Forces and Jedi Knight had an impact on me as a kid.  I want to say Max Payne.  The voice and narration fuel that game.  If you haven't played it, punish yourself immediately.  The sequel's fantastic, too.  Hell, even the GBA port of the first one is well done.

But I'm going to have to answer the Man Who Saves Our Chicks; The Hero That Is Forever.  I'm not sure exactly how much Duke 3D desensitized me as a child and/or gave me balls of steel, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
