I find that the majority of funny games are less actiony, because you can't really be cracking up with laughter when you need to be focusing on playing a game. And thus, often the funniest games are point & click adventures. And while this is a genre that I'm not too experienced in, I have played the monkey island series, which is absolutely hilarious.

I've just recently started playing exploring the genre in more detail, and started playing the Sam & Max games, and I'm finding them hilarious so far. This line made me absolutely crack up with laughter, and I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes:
