Final word on Beatles Rock Band
Seeing as the new Minor Issues formula for what'cha been playing is "Choose one game, talk about it", I need a place to talk and rant about my other games I have been playing. So this blog will be a semi-weekly, semi-post it whenever I want to series. This really won't be a blog solely about games either, it'll more than likely just be about whatever the hell is going on in my life, be it movies, music, games, etc. This week is a doozy, as you can see I have a lot of stuff to talk about so lets gets this train a-rollin'!
DEXTER!
What better way to start off but by talking about a game everyone obviously cares about, Dexter! Dexter now has an iPhone game and man it is good...but terrible.Dexters iPhone game, which will now be called Dephone, is a great mess. The story is pretty much a straight copy of the first episodes of season 1. Same kills, same dialogue, etc. This is actually a good thing, as long time fans of the series will get a great nostalgic type feeling when playing this and newcomers will be cought up a bit on some of the more hardcore plotlines. What you do in Dexter is quite simple while providing a nice amount of depth, you have 5 "cases" to work on, 1 being a nice Dexter where you complete certain tasks to hide your dark passenger, 3 killing missions, and 1 Doakes mission which is just working on some stupid case he has. The killing missions are obviously the best ones, you have to find out how the criminals are guilty of what you think, then stalk them, and finally capture them and set up a kill room, then finally butcher the hell out of them. That entire process is incredibly fun. The tension that arises during these sequences are amazing, especially for an iPhone game. It's everything else about this game that is utter turd. Despite decent looking environments and cut scenes, the character models are ugly. Dexter looks like a gorilla, Deb looks like a dog that just got it's face ran over by a mac truck and the rest are not as bad as Debs but very PS1 looking which is kind of the norm for an iPhone game. The worst though is the mini-games, they are---broken.They just don't work. The main mini game I'm talking about is the Blood Spatter. There is a couple of cases that require you to do that and since I couldn't do them, I just quit those cases. What you do is make a line with your finger then a line of blood appears on a blank canvas, you can change the lines of blood by changing the weapon. You're giving a certain canvas of blood to copy but it is so damn specific that hitting it is impossible. If you're able to complete that minigame, congrats sir. That turned out longer than expected.DEMOS!
Seeing as I haven't played enough of a game by just playing the demo to fully write a lot about the game, and seeing as this blog is gonna be long enough as it is cause of my Dexter comments, I will only give grades! (Same will go for TV Shows)

Section 8!
Section 8 is a game (released about a month ago) that have very mixed thoughts on. For the first hour of the game, I was really enjoying it, the crazy concept, good maps, nice weapons, and all that jazz was fun for a while. Granted I had no idea I was playing against Bots and was doing very good. When I finally got online, it's when I started not enjoying it as much. It felt very Battlefield like in a bad way. Die, respawn, die, respawn. Also, the games I was getting into all was either very badly laggy or only had like 4 people in it. The best thing about this game is the mechs. Which you buy by killing guys and capturing points. You then get it and it's flown in and all hell breaks loose. You run around with a crazy machine gun and doing "Fatalities" On people which involve your mech picking the person up, looking at it, then just throwing it like it was a little bug. So satisfying. The game actually is OK, I recommend a nice rental.
Zombie Apocalypse!
So what's two very overused things in video games? Dual Joystick Shooters and Zombie games! Well Zombie Apocalypse is here to not change that what-so-ever oh my god this game is bad. So yea, Zombie Apocalypse is a game where you...kill zombies during the apocalypse. Not much to it. Throughout the game you get new weapons, which is actually the best part of the game, weapons range from Molotov Cocktails to a Shotgun to a Flamethrower to a RPG to a Chain-gun and so on. The bad part about that is the guns run out about half way through. You progress through days (pretty much levels), there is 55 days and I'm about at 35 and every single level I beat I think "God, will you hurry up and end!" It hasn't ended yet and I doubt I will see those credits. I recommend a nice pass.Oh Beatles Rock Band, I have to talk about that. It's pretty good.
So that wraps up my first of these kind's of blogs. Hope you enjoyed, if you have a question about any of the above games or anything you wanna ask me, be sure to ask in the comments below.
