That inFamous plant should be in the UFC and play some Mahjong!

Welcome! It’s been a while since I wrote a blog that wasn’t a list. So I’m back and I’ve got some...demos! UFC Undisputed and inFamous, to be exact. Oh, and maybe even some Mahjong thrown in…and Plants vs. Zombies!

I’ll start with some UFC. The demo only gave you two fighters so I couldn’t really see too many fighting styles but I do know the two they gave me were pretty great. The overall animation of these two guys beating the hell out of each other is fantastic. Punching a man and seeing his mouthpiece and spit go flying out in real-time is shocking yet so beautiful. The demo really got me so excited to play the full game. I should be getting it in about 2 weeks.

One day I was playing some MLB 09, and then saw Mr. Justin Calvert from GS posted a random PSN code for some mysterious game, so I immediately jumped at it and punched in the code and boom. Mahjong! For free! I actually just chuckled because I realized that more than likely, I would never play that and I would just let it sit there forever. I was wrong. I was bored so I decided “What the hell?” and played it and it’s actually kind of fun. I enjoyed the very simplistic gameplay of just matching up some cards and despite the fact that it has horribly animated cut scenes, an odd story, and not much depth, I really enjoy it.

If you have a heart, you should buy Plants vs. Zombies right now. This game is one of the funnest computer games I’ve played in a long while. The Popcap group is genius’s! The concept is a tower defense game but just so much better! This game is so intense for just such a silly game plot. You’ll find yourself on the last wave of zombies, the last wave of zombies just ate almost all your pea-shooters, and you have no sun power. How are you going to deal with this? The great thing is, this game gives you plenty of ways to deal with this. Fill the place with bombs, more pea-shooters, Cherry Bombs, etc.  Not only do you get that, you get some mini-game son the side! The depth for this cheap game is extraordinary!

To wrap this up, I’m going to talk some inFamous…oh my god, inFamous! So good! So yea, I played the demo for inFamous. The badass-ness of this game is so huge it’s overwhelming. The climbing mechanic is very Assassins Creed esque, despite the fact that I enjoy Assassin’s Creed more, inFamous’ is pretty good, it’s a little floaty and can be a little annoying at times but it also helps a lot when trying to get around the city. Throwing electricity and red electricity is very…again, bad-ass! The open world is huge; the side missions will more than likely add tons of depth. I should probably say something bad now. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to hate the main character. His annoying gritty voice already drives me crazy. But, if I can possibly gather up some money, I’m definitely going to be picking this up at launch date.

As you can see, I’ve had a lot going on lately. I left out a few things, like MLB: 09 The Show and Mass Effect. Mainly because I had some problems with both of those games and I’ve already took enough shit for hating them, I don’t want anymore. To end on a happy note, I’ll say some of my exam grades, you know, for the hell of it.

Physical Science: A-
Health: A+
Algebra 1: A+
World/Ancient History: D-
Still unsure on 2 of my grades, expecting one to be an A+. See you all next time!
