Braid is really something special with its own distinct everything the sound the art and even most of the gameplay.
Braids sound is very good and ties into the game well and is plesant to listen to. The graphics are great for a 2d platformer with the art style one of a kind. The story is a little hard to follow and the fact that it is told through the use of text doestnt help but the ending was one of the best endings ever so go figure. The gameplay is where Braid really shines though with the platforming elements(jumping, climbing, etc.) working exetremly well with braids different time powers which include being able to reverse time( which is really cool because if you die you can just rewind time to any point which really makes the game even more foucused on the puzzles which ill talk about in a sec), moving making time move backwards or fowards, and being able to make a shadow do something while you do another. Now to talk about the puzzles, the puzzles in Braid are some of the most challenging, original and entertaining puzzles ever made beacause they make expert use of the time powers and even though you might be stuck on a really tough puzzle you'll still know that and answer is there and keep trying. My only two really big problems with Braid are its pricing and length, now let let me first get this outta the way Braids original and enjoyable gameplay easily make it worth the extra 400 points but going through braid once only took me 4-hours and there really isnt that much to go back to except a speed run mode which isnt my kinda thing. Overall Braid is a great new xbla title with great gameplay but with it being so short they should have at most priced it at 1000 points.
