There are so many ways in which this game gets it. It's super gross, horny, gory, and doesn't take itself too seriously.
Enemies bantering off screen had me chuckling more than once and fighting a hornt up demonic sex cult is kind of exactly what I (didn't even know I) wanted out of this game.
It looks stupendous and you're kind of always getting a new thing, whether it's a weapon, ability for your genesis configuration, etc. so the pacing is more than serviceable.
The flow is akin to a Resident Evil 4 (or more accurately RE: Village) right down to a cabin in the woods that gets overrun by enemies for a tense combat encounter.
The one place where this game really falls down is just in the feel. It's not a tight shooter or melee combat game even though it wants to be most of the time.
The dodge mechanic feels like buns and I never felt like it worked the way I wanted to. Loses a little steam near the end where you're fighting the identical mid-boss over and over.
Overall, a surprisingly decent little horror game that I mostly enjoyed.
