After years of forced Kevin Smith Star Wars references and the fantastic Family Guy writing that has consisted of "word word pop culture reference word word", you'd think the nerd culture would embrace such a careful handling of not only the direct source material, but also the underlying "spirit" of everything nerdy. Now i'll be the first person to admit, this game is pretty damn weird. Being a one button "wai wai" action game, there really isn't much detail in the gameplay. I'm a huge UFC fan, so when I heard THQ was developing a title based on the sport, I was pretty excited. I enjoyed several of their WWE games, so I was confident they could make a competent MMA game.
