This game highlights the remaster age we are in. That statement doesn't mean this is a bad game since it has a few good points too. Starting off this game is all about Deadpool staring in his own game. Plenty of wacky moments of him realizing he his in a game and general crazyness await. Sadly the humor didn't leave me laughing and instead the gameplay was where I enjoyed my time playing this game.
They really went all out on creating diffrent sections that played competely diffrent than what you would expect from a character action game. Between 2D/3D platforming and turret sequences this game does a good job of mixing up the moment to moment gameplay. It even had stealth sections although those sections usually end up as a combat arena. So much vareity is a good thing since it breaks up the very simple combat. Combat is what you would expect with the standard light/heavy attack along with a dodge button. All of the different moves chain together well it's just that none of it left much of a impression on me.
Every moment of this game is about making the player laugh yet I barely even smiled a few times. That is a real issue when it is supposed to be funny. Taken with the braindead combat I didn't have much of a reason to keep playing through this game. In the end this remaster is a okay action game if you enjoy Deadpool's sense of humor. Otherwise it is just a okay game that doesn't give you a reason to keep playing through it. So really it just comes down to if you like Deadpool as a chracter or not. Yes = worth playing No = stay away
