First off I should say that the visual style and presentation of Dead Space is groundbreaking. The game never takes you out of the game itself. You can pause the game but all objectives and inventory management take place in real time during the game. I played the game after hearing excellent things and I found it to be a bit underwhelming in the gameplay department. Shooting works well but I found the game itself to be pretty boring. There wasn't a lot to do. I would still recommend it to anyone who likes survival horror a lot but to me it was just okay.
