When I first bought Grand Theft Auto 4 I really didn't know what to expect. I was never a fan of the series but since I heard so much about it I said, "Ah what the hell". When I finally put down the controller at the end of a very long 2 months with my jaw open. I didn't know what I had just played. Until, I finally figured out that what I had just played, was the best game ever made.

When I first started the game I noticed that the graphics were a little bit too gritty and less contrasted then I had hoped for. But these can be changed in the pause menu. I had also noticed that rain effects how you're car looks. When it started to rain I saw that you're car would be a lot more shiny. I also noticed the use of Euphoria. However, Euphoria was somewhat buggy and annoying. Such as, when Niko gets hit, he falls for a relatively long time and takes a long period if time to get up. However, this is what happens when you put a relatively new technology into a new game like Grand Theft Auto 4. I also noticed that if anything like a car, it would dent realistically.

Gameplay wise, Grand Theft Auto 4 is nearly perfect. The only downfall, however, is the driving. And since you're going to be driving throughout the game, this is a large discouragement. The driving feels clunky and really slippery. Unlike most games where you would press the X button on the controller (or the A button if you're playing on a Xbox360) you have to press of the shoulder buttons. This however, is not the reason it feels clunky. The driving itself is the main problem. Turns take a lot of smarts to be done well and sometimes you'll drive to fast and you'll have to use the brake and will usually crash into cars and walls. This however doesn't kill the game as much.

Sound wise, the game sounds perfect. Guns sound like guns, people sound like people. The voice acting here is superb. The only problem is the extreme use of the word (get ready for it) fuck.  I've also found characters to use more and more profane words the deeper you get into the game. The choices for music were also nice as well. There are various radio channels you can listen to, to suit you're choice.

Overall, Grand Theft Auto 4 is an amazing achievement in gaming standards and is the best game out there, so far.
