Trial and Execution is probably the best episode yet

Tales of Monkey Island: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood is the fourth episode in Telltale's revival of the Monkey Island games. This penultimate episode starts with Guybrush having escaped his rather tricky situation from the previous episode and immediately falling into another one.

If you've kept up so far, you already know that The Tales of Monkey Island is a great series, and this fourth part is probably the best yet. There are a couple of new characters, as well as returning “old” ones from the previous chapters. Trial and Execution also marks the first return to Flotsam Island, the lone locale the first episode took place in.

The gameplay remains entirely unchanged, but Chapter Four is probably the heaviest on dialogue out of all five games, since most of it takes place in and around a court. This can only be considered a good thing, since the witty speech is what makes Tales of Monkey Island great, and seeing Guybrush question himself (since he's his own lawyer) is one of the funniest moments thus far.

Four episodes in, ToMI is still going strong. Do yourself a favour and continue the tale by buying The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood.
