The Legacy of Kain series is insane. One of the most convoluted in gaming, and this is only the 3rd the five part series. Needless to say, it has some twisty twists to make it that way. If your not familiar with the original games, that's ok. The series has always been good with explaining itself, so don't let that deter you from playing it. The basic premise is VAMPIERS!!!!!! There's much, much more to it, but it all centers around VAMPIERS!!!!!! You play a VAMPIER named Raziel who was betraid be "The Fonz" of the world the game takes place in named Kain. And that's aweome, BUT, you may have a problem with the gameplay. It's a typical hack'n'slash with some neat weapons, enemies, and puzzles but there's no combos or of stuff that you'd expect in a game like this. There is however the Soul Reaver weapon. It's the only weapon is the game that can be powered up, elemental powers like air, fire, light, and dark are the power ups and it's a pretty awesome weapon. It sucks the souls out of people. Nice. And that's all you need to know. It's a great game and arguably the best in the series.
