When it launched I wasn’t huge on this game and I still think it’s a little too railroaded in parts, but knowing there’s a sequel coming that builds on the concepts here had me give it a revisit. I love the swings they take with Samus’ characterization (the big raven beak reveal at the end is kinda whatever, but that aside) - having a sequel being a direct followup to the 15yo GBA game that explores the implications of those events is so cool and un-Nintendo.
