Xbox Live Indie Games was a treasure trove of shovelware, budget games and poorly-made clones. I came across this game a few years ago after downloading a demo, and completely forgot about it until now. I can't say why I downloaded the demo, but I'd love to say I was bored.
Some games were never meant to be played, this is one of them. Let's take a look at Silver Dollar Games' one of many terrible Xbox Live indie games, I Want It!
I Want It Review (Xbox 360)
Synopsis
The whole game is just a spoilt kid begging his mother for certain things, such as candy and toys. It's really bare bones.
Gameplay
In essense, the gameplay of I Want It! is just pressing the A button when prompted to hear a child pester his mum until he gets what he wants. It's not very funny and is terrible, not much else to add.
Graphics
These graphics look like something that could easily be made on Microsoft Paint, not to mention there's a lot of stock footage / royalty free images interspersed everywhere.
Audio
As with almost everything about this game, the audio is just banal. The music heavily relies on stock music that Silver Dollar probably found on a website for free. There's a loud buzzing noise when voice lines are spoken, the kid says the most insufferable things ever, and it's just a headache to listen to for extended periods of time - not that you'd want to play for very long.
Conclusion
This game shouldn't even be considered as such, it's a prime example of the sort of shovelware crap we used to get on the Xbox Live Indie storefront. While there were some strong indie games on there, I Want It! is just plain bad - as with every single game developed by the hacks that are Silver Dollar Games. I Want It! gets the distinction of a 1/5 stars.
It's a good thing that you can't get this game anymore, stuff like this was probably the reason as to why the indie games marketplace was shut down years ago since it wasn't heavily enforced by Microsoft / Xbox.
