The story of The Witcher 3 and all of its side quests really drew me in. There have been very few games I’ve played that have immersed me in a world the way this game did. The world and its characters are fascinating, and even after beating the game three times, I still find myself coming back to it.
One of my favorite things about the game is how memorable some of the side quests can be. A great example is the quest involving the werewolf and the two lovers. Without spoiling anything, I loved how the quest slowly unfolds and gives you more to think about than simply finding a monster and killing it. It’s a great example of how The Witcher 3 can take what seems like a straightforward side quest and turn it into a surprisingly emotional and memorable story.
The only real knock I have against it, and the one thing keeping it from being a 5-star game for me, is the controls. They can feel very clunky and, at times, downright infuriating. Outside of that, The Witcher 3 is an incredible game with a world and story that are hard to forget.
