The next step past The Return of the Obra Dinn has been made and it is glorious. A meaty adventure game with a wonderful mystery to unravel and an ever present ticking clock that ratchets up the tension. It can feel overwhelming at first but stitching together the rather large tapestry of characters, motives, events, and clues is one of the most satisfying works of magic a developer has ever pulled off. Everyone should play this.
