Gears of War took the world by storm at the time it came out. The graphics looked so amazing and being a new ip was really impressive. But I didn't enjoy as much as most people, I still think it was amazing, but it could be ever better.
It had some fps dips at a few parts of the game, the story could be a little bit deeper from the jump. The gameplay doesn't make you change your strategy very much and sometimes it feels a bit random, you can get instantly killed by an attack and later survive to the same attack. Sometimes it feels like the enemies take 100 bullets to die, but also you'll kill them really fast another times.
It was the type of game that I was hoping for the sequel being a greater version of it. Great game still.
