I'm a bit short for time, but I come here to say ... Danganronpa 2 is truly just a great one of those. Those being murder mystery visual novel games. The mystery of the trails, the mystery of the world, and the mystery of the characters all blends to make for a compelling finale as you approach the final trails.
Perhaps the lack of new and interesting information in the middle part drags on, or the fanservice which the game routinely breaks the 4th wall to point and laugh at isn't for everyone. But for me, it's all a bit of sinister yet campy romp of a villain that plays by their own rules and has joy in messing with their victims along the way to their over arching goal.
I played the first game, and rolled straight into this one, and even though you can tell how they reused assets and the same overall structure for how the game was laid out, it's fresh and nostalgic in a way that makes sense for the plot and to draw out the emotions of the player.
This game is worth it if you fan or horror/mystery and I understand how it still has such hype so many years after release
