This game man... this game. You know when you are playing through a game and stuff just isn't going right? Well this happens quite a bit during this game, so like a sensible person with nothing to do you just restart. I've restarted this game so many times I've been able to speak the entire first part of the game in a patrick stewart accent. Oh yeah did I mention that Patrick Stewart saves you from prison? I didn't? Well then, just sit back, this is just the beginning of this game.
Let's say you wake up in a prison cell and have a dark elf yelling at you about how you're doing to die, no biggie right? All the sudden the emperor of this land you are in is guiding you through a dungeon. He's talking about cryptic dream stuff and his guards don't really like you that much. It's never really explained why you are in prison but Emperor Septim does say he doesn't care. You end up escaping the underground dungeon shortly after the Emperor gets assassinated. Yes, sorry to anyone that wanted to have Patrick Stewart guide you through the game.
As soon as you walk out of that dungeon you are just swept over how good this game looks... er looked back when it was released. Nowadays we have good looking games like Crysis and Skyrim. It is still impressive on the PC, not so much on the Xbox. If you walk through woods you will find swaying grass, running deer, random building, random quests that take you to small farms where you find notes that talk about a person's suicide. All i'm sayin' is that this game is impressive with the amount of stuff that were about to do back in '06. Not only is the graphics awesome the voice acting is above par. The voice acting is above par in the story bits, anything having to do with NPC's that aren't important is usually poorly spliced together.
This game is still today in one of my top ten of all time, probably even in the top 5. This game is amazing although its older, if you have the chance to buy it for a few bucks, do it! Personally I think this game is better than skyrim by a few miles. When you look at skyrim to this game it stands no where close, I mean that's your choice to decide but I think that you'll see my side of it.
