Oh yes. Alien Breed:Impact is the remake of the legendary game made in 1991.,for the even more legendary Amiga. But to younger gamers that won't mean jack,so lets say that AB:I is an isometric Diablo-like shooter WITHOUT any RPG elements.

Yeah,AB is no RPG,but a straight up shoot em' up! The story is sub-standard. Basically, yiour ship collided with another ship and both ships are filled with aliens you need to kill with shotguns plasma cannons, machine guns etc.,so they wouldn't kill you. Deep, right?

But is AB the ultimate game of this type? Well,no. Why? Well because it has a lot of little problems that keep it far away from perfect. The biggest problem is the level design. First of all,its very labirinthy,so you will spend a lot of time looking at the map.

But this isn't the only problem, expect that after 5 to 6 hours in the game you will get to a lot of locked doors. And i mean a LOTof locked doors, which you have to unlock. For example:the battery is running low and you have to replace it with a secondary door. Where is it? Behind a locked door! Dammit! Damn it to hell! While to some gamers this will be a welcome challenge,to most gamers (suck as myself) it will just be damn annoying!

But there is also interesting stuff in there, like walking through a vacuum,or maybe a ship central that is shining with beautiful blue lights et cetera! The shooting is...OK.   Even though i said that this isn't an RPG the game still has some minor RPG elements, that comes in the form of loot (which comes in the form of stuff you absolutely need to survive)

What about the graphics? Well, its pretty due to being ran on the solid and good UE3   engine. The athmosphere is well done, and there are explosions everywhere reminding you that you are on a ship that's about to fall appart.

That's all relatively good, but how is AB really? The game is nothing special and only serves for Amiga veterans that wondered how would their game look in HD,and that's about it. Keep your money everybody but the extremely bored ones!
