The thing I carry away from Fable 2 is a good storyline that ended far before I wanted it to. I was just playing along doing quests and its like, hey, here’s the last guy, kill ‘em and the game be over. It was only like my third or fourth play session and I’m like, its over… It can’t be over… damn, its’ actually over.
I guess it’s my fault, I didn’t get into any of the side quests or try to do all the collecting, I’ve had plenty of that kind of stuff in other games. I came looking for a good engrossing story, and found one. Imagine that, I must be one of the few people that finished the game as a virgin.
The evolution of your character is great; the RPG elements of the game are pretty much nonexistent. All I did was level up fire magic to max and I use a master cutlass with four damage augments till the end of the game.
The other thing is that this game suffers Twilight-itis, which is to say, just like Zelda Twilight Princess, it’s just too damn easy. I actually never ever died once going all the way through the game, but that’s not really it, I was never really even close to death.
Despite my ‘nits, it’s still a great game, and definitely worth your hard, or not so hard, earned money. Yes, you college kids with pell grants, I’m looking at you. I know you spend the leftovers on video games, booze, meth, girl’s underwear, hand cream and rubber bands.
