Cumbersome? I laugh at thee!

These past years all we have seen is fast, hamsters-on-coffee, non-thinking shooting action.  Well, not anymore! Lost Planet 2 is, to me, a breath of fresh air. I got used to the game in the first hour of gaming I put in it and, in all honesty, I really do not see how the controls can be clunky! Sure it can take a bit of time to get used to them, but after the first few missions it will come naturally to you.

Another complaint I kept hearing about was the "checkpoint system", all I can think is that the people complaining about this have never touched a hard game or a game that required some sort of planning (Monster Hunter comes to mind, I do not know what those people would do if they had to play Monster Hunter). This point also applies to the akrids being "cheap", its a no-brainer that you will get pounced to death if all you do is stand in front/behind of it and shoot till you run out of ammo.

The graphics are spectacular, the OST is memorable and the coop is really fun. I didn't get a chance to play much of the multiplayer but I was gladly surprised to see that 2 VS suits could combine into a bigger one with a sort of ion cannon as well as finding one with a tactital nuke.

All in all, I think this game is a good buy if you like hard games, thinking and stunning graphics. Do not be mislead by the constant whining about the save point, it was high time a game stopped babysitting us.
