Rainbow Six: Vegas which released on the Xbox 360 on November 20, 2006 quickly established itself as one of the premier shooters on the console. The game offers simplified controls and a super-intuitive cover system. Also the graphics provide a beautiful looking Las Vegas playground with showers of coins busting out of slot-machines as head shots splatter onto the walls. The single-player is lengthy and substantial especially when going through missions with a team of 4 friends via online co-op. Even the storyline keeps you mildly interested, although the ending is unfortunatley a cliffhanger leaving you with the cliche words "To be continued..."
However, gamers will continue to play R6: Vegas long after the single-player campaign is completed due to the game's robust multi-player component. Gamers will be able to create a player and as one advances through the ranks more and more guns, armor, and clothing will be unlocked. Also the multi-player offers numerous well-designed levels with many fun gametypes, including favorites like deathmatch and team deathmatch which are known as sharpshooter and team sharpshooter in this game. Not only that but gamers can team up in the terrorist hunt mode which fills multi-player levels with terrorists that the gamers must blast through to clear the level. With the solid single-player campaign and the amazing multi-player component, it is safe to say that Rainbow Six: Vegas is one of the best shooters on the 360.
