Rise of the Argonauts is best described as a cross between God of War and Mass Effect. There are some pretty decent fight scenes with some pretty awesome weapons that can be upgraded and powers that you can accumulate by allying yourself with various Gods. When I first bought this game, I was really excited about it. It seemed like a lot of fun. And when I first loaded it in, I was not disappointed, it was exactly what i expected... or at least it was supposed to be. You install a LIVE Vision cam, and act out scenes for a movie, and then get integrated into the video clip and get points according to your acting. AWESOME!!! The graphics are nice, the city design is amazing, and there are a lot of comical scenes... but when it takes 5 mins to beat-up on 5 grunts, and you still get you butt kicked in... there's a problem with the fighting system. Not to mention that they usually roam around in gangs of 3 - 5 villains, and it can happen that you get surrounded by 3 - 5 gangs with a potential of facing over 20 bad guys. DUDES!!! Not kewl.…
This game is not about shooting you enemies or getting the biggest combos (though there is a very minor part of that in here). It's about acrobatics... simply put, your character is an Urban Ninja, jumping around and climbing walls trying to get to the next way point.
