Final Fantasy X-22003

0 out of 5 stars

This is the first "true sequel" to a Final Fantasy game, it's just too bad it had to be part of Final Fantasy X. Gameplay: The Gameplay goes back to the Active Time Based combat from IV to IX. So that is a some what of a plus to the game, but after using Final Fantasy X's battle system I did not want to go back. Also I don't really like the Charlie's Angels themed setting. Graphics: They are a little bit improved…

Breath of Fire III1997

0 out of 5 stars

I will admit I have not played this game in a long time, but I still remember a lot about it. I know that this game got me deeply into games and Sony related products. When I played this game for the first time I was so taken away I could not believe what I was playing. Gameplay: This game by todays standards is just another RPG Final Fantasy clone, but back then this game could stand on it own. For me this game can…

Suikoden IV2004

0 out of 5 stars

The Suikoden series has hit a rut on the PS2 and I think it started with Suikoden III (check my reviews). Anyways I'm not going to talk about Suikoden III anymore cause I have erased it from my memory. Suikoden IV brings back some very good things that made the original two great. Those are when you get into arguments with other characters, you can fight with them for a while (only if you stand by your opinion) til…

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW2004

4 out of 5 stars

WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw is a very good game, because it gets almost everything right. There is a few problems, but most get trumped by some of the best gameplay mechanics in any wrestling game. Gameplay: In this version of this expansive series the gameplay is almost perfect. Now that is not saying that they have fixed all the problems from previous Smackdown or Raw games, but they have come close. There are the…

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter2002

3 out of 5 stars

The story is very different from what I know from the Breath of Fire world. When I played it I was very interested in what I was about to play & follow. When the game started the story kinda....... clawed out of the gates. I'm not saying it was bad, but the story took a while to get going. The battle system in Dragon Quarter is very interesting & innovative in the way that if you build up your AP then the more in…

Orphen: Scion of Sorcery2000

1 out of 5 stars

Ok, I have been waiting to rip this game apart for everyone to see. The game's story (if you can call it a story) revolves around Orphen a sorcerer with an attitude problem. Him and a cast of characters (that are very forgettable) are on a ship going to some island. When a storm comes out of nowhere, during this storm a Leviathan rises out of the ocean & attacks the ship & crew. This is when you get to see the…

Suikoden III2002

3 out of 5 stars

I bought this game because of the previous games in the series. So I can honestly say that I was disappointed in this game. The gameplay is what you would expect from a Suikoden game, but I did not like what they did to the "Army vs. Army" battles. It went from a wide open battlefield to following lines. The same thing can be said when you are traveling between towns/cities in the game. Overall the gameplay is still…

Final Fantasy X2001

5 out of 5 stars

For a long time I was nervous to write this review of possibly my favorite game of all time. One reason for this was I felt like I wouldn't be able to do this game justice in being able able to project to you (the readers) just how great this game is. There is so many things that went right with Final Fantasy X. So let's start off with the game play. Gameplay: The gameplay in Final Fantasy X is very different from…
