Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 really does feel like a missed opportunity. It's a sequel to one of the best shooters of all time and was meant to be a larger impact than Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare but with some really bad gameplay designs it really just ends up feeling like Infinity Ward really dropped the ball.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does get somethings right though, and those things are all the singleplayer portions. It has a great campaign that lets you see from many different perspectives and visit a variety of locations and tells an epic story. The campaign is short however clocking in at around 5 or so hours, but you could make that alot longer when you die every 2 seconds on Veteran. There is also another mode, called Spec Ops which is great with a buddy but it's still very fun on your own.
The Singleplayer really is one the series' best but it really is a shame it is so short.
Then there is the multiplayer: It's great fun when played with friends but alone it really highlights how badly balanced some of the guns are *cough*noobtube*cough*. It's still fun to play some games with a mate and laugh some things off but alone you really can't laugh off how every 3rd game ends up with a host migration screen.
All in all Modern Warfare 2 is a good game but does not deliver to the hype but if you really want to experience some Modern Warfare and don't own the first, you would be better off getting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
