To put it bluntly, "Grand Theft Auto IV" is nothing less than a masterpiece. It is perfect. From the story, to the visuals, to the controls, to the game engine, to the sound design, to the lighting, to the extreme architecural details, to the tongue-in-cheek American satire, to the protagonist himself (Niko Bellic, the most emotionally versatile of all the GTA protagonists), "Grand Theft Auto IV" is purely flawless as it tells a beautifully written story of hitmen, druggies, car-jackers, and crime bosses that all tie in to Niko Bellic's central story. This central story is what really pushes you through this game. As Bellic searches for "that special someone", you experience at full hand the true depth of character development and characterization as you do dirty work for gangster after gangster, trying to get any information you can on the ones responsible for a negative event in your past. This game truly is a work of art, and it's ending left me close to tears. All Niko wants to be is an innocent civilian, living his life the way he wants to... but things rarely work out the want you want them to in the land of opporutnity...
