I write this review having only experienced a few hours of gameplay and only accomplishing 3-4 levels of success at the game. Dungeon Crawl - Stone Soup is an excellent roguelike, it is just too hardcore for me or I am incompetent. So be aware, this game can be very difficult.
The game adds a graphical element to the roguelike concept. The controls and layout are intuitive. There is plenty of documentation and in-game text to help you along in the dungeon. But.... is it fun? Yes. Just be ready to die, often.
If you are familiar with the roguelike concept and enjoy it, this game is worth checking out. You have a ridiculous amount of classes and races to try your luck with. If you don't enjoy roguelike games, you may want to pass it up.
