Civilization Revolution, or CivRev, is an attempt to move the turn based Civilization game series to consoles. And it does it surprisingly well. As a long-time fan of the series, I can attest to the many hours I have already spent immersed in this game and attempting to play it on even higher difficulties. Now, while it may seem strange that I would give this game five stars while others do not, I do so because I do not believe in lowering a score because some people will not like that type of gameplay. If you are into strategic turn based games, I would wholeheatedly recommend giving it a try. It brings back the simplicity of the first Civilization game which allows new players to get into it without the complete overwhelming nature of the latest Civ game for PC. (Civ IV has many times the depth of this game, but in doing so is not as accessible to new players.) If you have tried and enjoyed Civ games in the past, Civ IV for the PC might be a better way to go, but if you are new to the series (try the demo first, so you don't spend money on a game that isn't right for you) or prefer the simpler versions of Civ, this is an excellent game to play. It was definitely worth the $60 I spent on it!
