Turtles in time re-shelled just dissapointed me so much. i really wanted to go back on a nostolgic trip back to this game and remember the good times i had playing with my brother and cousins. But in reality this game does not hold up well as all it is, is just a stupid beat em up that was meant to eat your quarters with cheap boss battles.
Turtles plays almost like it did when it came out in the arcades. Except now you can move around the plain 8-way so its even easier to fight the enemies and you fight the same 5 enemies on every level and just becomes so repetative and boring. The boss battles are not tough but they are just cheap. This is really stupid because this is just a way to eat up your quarters at the arcades.
The visuals arent that good either. they decided to re-do all of the visuals in the game to a 3-d design and it looks sort of dull. The original arcade visuals arent even in the game so there isnt that much nostolgia when it comes to playing this game.
One thing to note is that this game has full 4 player online/offline multiplayer. Co-op always made these games fun but yet again this game just knows how to destroy the fun out of co-op. First off the Co-op barely even scales up the games difficulty so you can just breeze through the game, second the game just seems more hectic so it seems easier to just hold right and just keep hitting the attack button.
Why didnt they port the SNES version. That version played great, had an extra level and it even looked good. This is a sad excuse to charge 10 bucks (800 MS points), i could of gotten any other game like Peggle or Splosion Man but no instead my nostolgia got in the way and forced me to purchase this terrible game. Even if your a fan of the turtles 10 bucks is 20 bucks too much for this dumb, short and dull beat em up.
