This is a really short review for a really short game.

Dull characters, forgettable plot.

Uninspired, bland environments.

Excellent combat system.

Parrying in combat is the coolest thing ever.

"Zandatsu" is gimmicky but satisfying.

Awful camera.

The WORST soundtrack.

Solid localization/writing!

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was a game I scarcely enjoyed. That said, I think it is a mostly well made game and I recommend to anyone looking for a solid action game. I can't help but feel like I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I not played DmC a month earlier. Ninja Theory's reboot was one of the most refreshing takes on the genre. MGR felt lacking.

It's certainly no Vanquish or Bayonetta, but you're likely to enjoy at least parts of Revengeance. But don't pay 60$ for it.
