Part of the Castlevania Collection on the Switch. This game was pretty fun with memorable chiptunes. Some of the platforming required pixel perfection. The rewind feature saved me a ton. I just disovered Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth which is a remake of this game. I'm definitely playing that next. Castlevania continues to be one of my favorite franchises as i plow through Konami's catalog of games. Do i really want to start going down that sidescrolling shooter rabbit hole? I think so. Instead of spending 68.7 Billion Dollars on Activision the money would have been so much better spent taking Konami's games off of their hands. Why does everybody look to Mario for sidescrolling perfection? I honestly think it is right here. What chiptune music resonates with you most? Like if I were to ask you what you could conjure up quickly, on a keyboard or guitar. What would it be? I can't wait for that moment of frustration when i'm in a vintage gaming store trying to pinpoint where a song came from. After playing this game I do not think a gameboy mini makes since anymore, well at least without a rewind feature.
