What makes this game so great is that it does what few other games even have attempted. This game is the only game out there that I can find, that turns your music into a game. Your decision to buy this game itself should be based on only one question "Do you like music and games?". If you said yes then you should probalby get this game. The game itself consists of two main sections. One is for creating music and the other is for playing music. The creation side is limited, although it's easily explained by a few optional tutorials. The basic premise is you take 1 of 11 song bases, and then choose 1 of 4 styles for each instrument in sections for bass, synths, arpeggios, and drums (The music will almost always sound nice if not repetitive). These styles will repeat except for one of the drum instruments which you have to manually press. After deciding on a rhythm you record what you play and you can change instruments during the recording. Then you can save and upload it. This is somewhat nice, but you can find much better and more intricate music creators on computers, or in the other PSP game beaterator. The part of the game that really shines is the play mode.
Only open the next section if you have no idea how to put music on your psp. otherwise, it'll bore you. The mp3s you put in can be played as games. In the backround you get a customisable moving or unmoving animation, while you press buttons that the game tries to allign with the beat of the music. In a way it's snapping your fingers to the beat of music turned into a game. Sometimes the game will mess up, but for the most part it works great, and is a blast to play. Of course the fun you have is measured by how much you love music, and how many songs you have. The game does have some problems with it's difficulty though, as you can't lose to begin with on any difficulty. Also if you play this game on easy you will be bored Immediately. If you play games often (which you probably do if you're on this website) you'll want to start with hard. Casual gamers should try normal. as the game gets harder, it throws more button presses at you, and you have to press left or right on the d pad to hit some beats. As I said before though, if you have more music you'll enjoy this game for a longer period of time as there are no unlocks, no losing and nothing new. This game is for those who want a "different game". those people will not be dissapointed.
