Let me be clear right from the get go that I love this game. I played this game as a young child many times and even more as an adult, but I will try to give this game a fair and unbiased review... ha yeah right! this game is the greatest thing to come out of Japan sense Japanese people!
But I digress...
Graphically speaking this game is much prettier than its predecessors on the NES and Mega Man not only has a brand new shiny X but brand new shiny ability's as well. The addition of the wall jump, the sliding ability, the ability to charge your shot, greatly improved upon the already solid game play set fourth by previous installments, it fells like I am playing a completely different and far superior game. The music is catchy and sticks with you long after you have set the controller down as well as the epic boss battles that are etched into my mind. As I said before it's hard for me to find any fault with this game because I grew up with it and have tenderly loved this game as if it were my own child, but if you have played any Mega Man game before and even slightly liked it than you should give this one a try and I guarantee it is thousands times better. If you've never played a Mega Man game before (shame on you) and have any desire to play a 2D side scroller this is one of the best and you should at least give it a try. (Unless it's Mega Man X collection on the Game Cube. The Game Cube controller does not do that game justice, in my opinion.)
