Well I decided to give this game a shot, having no idea what it’s about or what it does except that it has a splendiferous name and it’s getting praise from the paid-under-the-table reviewers on the interweb. I started the game up and went through the tutorial, this is what it’s all about: You are a Scribblenaut, and can summon just about anything you can think of to accomplish puzzles. Here’s an example: You are tasked with getting a star down from the top of a tree. Some of things I did was: type in “Axe” and use the axe to chop it down, type in “Lumberjack” and provide him with an “Chainsaw” and he’ll cut it down, type in “Beaver” and a furry little bastard will show up and eat the tree… As you can see the list can go on. I was hooked for quite a while (a couple hours) and looks like there are hundreds of puzzles. There is also an “advanced” mode where you can try to accomplish the same challenge three or more times for “Ollars” which is a great word for currency. It’s a great game for anyone with a brain and the ability to spell. Not dyslexic friendly.
