Star Wars: Battlefront Renegade Squadron is only for the PSP. It starts
when Col Serra tells the story of Renegade Squadron. You start off on
the first mission as a tutorial. The game also includes other tutorials
for multiplayer and such. The controls a re confusing at first, but
after a while you'll get the hang of it.
The campaign is fairly long as you fight in Hoth snow conditions to
Yavin 4 jungles all the terrain is there and there are a small mix of
objectives in each mission. As all Star Wars: Battlefront games are you
must capture command posts to eliminate enemy reinforcements. There are
many different vehicles like spaceships or tanks you can use that a re
designed for their purpose. There is also instant action where you pick
maps and play and galactic conquest where you conquer planets one at a
time. The multiplayer is the best and it's new to the PSP. It supports
16 (infanstracture) and 8 (ad hoc). If a room isn't full AI will
substitute for players. You can customize how you look in multiplayer
which also works in campaign mode. There is medals which you can unlock
by achieving whatever it says.
The graphics and sound are ok. AI is kind of dumb because when they
shoot you they just stand there. They also sometimes randomly lob
grenades and commit suicide. Every faction you play as has the same
weapons, but some will look different than others.
This game is a good game and for those who are Star Wars fans then you should get it.
