I loved the first No more heroes, in fact it's one of my favorite games of the past 5 years. I don't know why I loved it so much.. oh wait, I DO, it was over-the-top and the first true M rated game on the Wii. So when I heard that Suda 51 was making a sequel, I was stoked. But also a little worried, I mean, how can you top the craziness of the original. Well, it seems that Suda had the answer all along and he managed to put it in this game.

I'll start off by listing all of the technical improvements that No more heroes 2 has over it's
predecesser. One,the art style overall is much more crisp and fully realised. The game has an almost cel-shaded look to it and now the technical side actually helps the artistic side. The framerate has been improved, though the game still suffers from occasional stuttering. Animations and enviroments look great and again the art style shines through.
On the gameplay side of things, No more heroes 2 is even more fun and satisfying. You'll notice that the game now supports the Wii's " classic controller" and it actually works quite well. Though if you're like me you probably prefer the Wii remote. There's just something oddly satisfying about swining the Wii remote to slice some dude in half ( Though thats great all on it's own.) My only complaints with the gameplay comes from a brief segment where you play as Shinobu. While the actual sequence is quite good, it's the odd controls that are off-putting and downright sloppy. Though it's a small thing. ( and besides, the Henry section really does make up for it.)
The game sounds great too, with the usual techno playing in the backround. though it's the bloody screams and insane banter of your enemies that really pushes things foward. Never before has a desert seemed so wrong.
If you're somebody who didn't like or "get" the first game, then this sequel probably won't change your mind. But if you did enjoy the first one, then... well, you probably already own it and have played it through a few times by now.
