How many hours have I spent on various carribean islands thanks to the Monkey Island series. The Curse of Monkey Island is, in my opinion, the best game in the series. The first two games have a very nostalgic appeal to me, due to the old school graphics and dialogue heavy gameplay, as with all classic Lucasarts (and Sierra) games. The Curse of Monkey Island finds the perfect balance between satisfying gameplay and brilliant visuals. Amazingly crafted locations, characters and backgrounds help you immerse into the world of Monkey Island. The fourth part of the series went 3D and with it went the visual appeal. The story of Cure is the usual mayhem mix of voodoo curses, magic, undead, pirates and monkeys of course, all underscored by the fantastic Monkey Island soundtrack. Highly recommended, it may very well be the best adventure game ever made.
